Licensing A Play
To perform an Ayckbourn play, you need to apply for a professional or amateur license.

Professional License: Contact Alan Ayckbourn's agents Casarotto Ramsay if you're interested in professionally producing an Ayckbourn play. Further details can be found at www.casarotto.co.uk.

Amateur Licenses: Samuel French is responsible for licenses for amateur productions of Alan Ayckbourn's plays. Visit www.samuelfrench.co.uk (UK / Europe) or www.samuelfrench.com (USA) for full details and pricing. A further explanation of licenses can be found here.

International Licenses: If you are interested in staging a production of Alan Ayckbourn's plays in an international territory (i.e. not the UK), enquiries should be directed to Emma Magnus at Casarotto Ramsay.

Restrictions
Occasionally plays are not available to perform due to a license having already been granted or a forthcoming major production. It is always best to check with Alan's agents Casarotto Ramsay.

London Restrictions (amateurs): Please ignore the Samuel French website which insists all Ayckbourn plays may have restrictions in London - this is just Samuel French's policy for all major playwrights. At any given time, the vast majority of Alan's plays should be available for amateur performance in London and it is always worth enquiring whether a play is available for production.
